Prairie Band Health Services and Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC) in Gallup, New Mexico, seek an Outpatient Pediatric Physician (MD/DO) to deliver high-quality care to children and adolescents in an outpatient setting with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends or holidays.

This long-term locum tenens role offers the opportunity to impact families in a culturally rich community while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and maintaining comprehensive documentation in RPMS/EHR.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state.
• Minimum 2 years of post-residency outpatient pediatric experience.
• Current BLS and PALS; ACLS/NRP preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and residency in the continental United States.
• Current DEA license and prescribing eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and families on preventative health, nutrition, and child development.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and care teams.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, care coordination, and community health efforts.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by clinical leadership.
