Job summary

AVALA is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our award-winning network in the Greater New Orleans area. The physician will provide comprehensive outpatient care in a patient-centered environment that emphasizes long-term relationships with the community.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred; Board Eligible also considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides and manages direct patient care including evaluations and treatment for a defined patient population.
• Prescribes medications and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Refers patients to specialists when needed and coordinates care with the team.
