Fmolhs is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support an OT-led treatment plan for patients. The role involves assisting with tests, evaluations and procedures, and designing adaptive devices tailored to each patient’s needs.

Responsibilities include teaching patients and families, maintaining treatment records, and communicating with physicians. Supervisory duties for rehab staff and ongoing inservice training are also expected.

Formación

• Associate’s degree and graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program required.
• Mississippi state licensure as required.

Responsabilidades

• Under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, provides therapy to meet measurable goals.
• Assists OT during patient testing, evaluations and procedures.
• Carries out treatment programs and designs adaptive devices (splints, braces, ADL devices) as needed.
• Teaches patients and families the skills required for participation in therapy, adapting to comprehension level.
• Maintains medical records of patient responses to treatment and communicates with physicians.
• Supervises Rehabilitation Technicians and Aides and participates in inservice training.
• Attends meetings and performs other duties as assigned.
