Rowlett Health & Rehabilitation in Rowlett, TX is seeking a Full Time Outpatient Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our post-acute care team. The OTA will screen and evaluate patients, develop care plans, and deliver skilled interventions for physical functioning disorders and wound care.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Open to Occupational Therapy Assistants at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Assist with regular standing/walking and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients/equipment.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan (manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, devices, wound care).
• Provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Prepare discharge summaries ensuring regulatory/compliance requirements.
