Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required.
  • Currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Missouri.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within one month of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Implements treatment plans developed by the licensed physical therapist in a safe and effective manner.
  • Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist to assess and reassess patient plans of care and progress treatment techniques.
  • Completes medical record documentation accurately and timely, ensuring proper charge entry.
  • Attends departmental meetings, conferences, and continuing education courses.
  • Maintains infection-control policies and a safe working environment.
  • Manages full patient caseload and coordinates scheduling.
  • Maintains communication with supervisor regarding service needs and supplies.
  • Adheres to State Practice Act and ethical conduct.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
