Job summary

Spine & Sport Physical Therapy in San Marcos, CA is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedics team. You will conduct assessments, design individualized treatment plans, and guide patients through therapeutic exercises to restore mobility and reduce pain.

Collaboration with physicians and staff is essential, with a focus on high-quality patient care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active state PTA license or eligible for licensure.
• DPT or MPT required as listed in description.
• CPR certification and state regulatory requirements.
• Strong clinical skills in orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric PT (preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient documentation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine functional abilities and goals.
• Develop personalized treatment plans using various therapies and modalities.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and manual therapy to improve mobility and function.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals for comprehensive care.
• Adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
