Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active Physical Therapy license in Texas
• Experience: 1+ years in outpatient orthopedics preferred; new grads welcome

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluations
• Review physician referral and patient records to determine required therapy
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
• Supervise assistants and rehab technicians in patient care
• Complete written plan of care and develop goals to attain outcomes
• Implement therapy programs and provide essential treatments
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers
• Ensure timely documentation (notes, reports, discharge summaries)
