Job summary

University of Southern California's Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver outpatient oncology care within an interdisciplinary team. You will coordinate patient care, perform assessments, and educate patients and families in a compassionate setting.

Requires a BSN, CA RN license, and at least 6 months oncology experience. BLS is required; chemotherapy certification should be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN required; RN licensed to practice in California (CA BRN).
• At least 6 months of oncology nursing experience.
• Ambulatory/oncology experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Chemotherapy Certification within 6 months of hire; specialty certs favored.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic nursing care using the nursing process in outpatient settings.
• Coordinate patient care and education with patients and families.
• Administer medications as ordered and monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, and evaluations.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care.
