Job summary

Mercy’s David M. Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO, seeks an Outpatient Specialty RN to join our Oncology & Hematology team.

You will assess patients, assist with procedures, educate patients, and coordinate care in an outpatient setting, working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team. This full-time role offers a day shift (8:00am-4:30pm), a supportive environment, and opportunities to grow in a specialty nursing field focused on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, valid RN license or eligible for licensure.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vitals, review histories and assess conditions.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist physicians with patient care and specialty procedures in an outpatient setting.
• Provide patient education and help patients understand their plan of care.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Maintain infection prevention and safe medication handling.
