Job summary

Advocate Health's Atrium Health Physical Therapy outpatient clinic in Charlotte, NC seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan and deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced rehab setting. You will contribute to discharge planning, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's in OT, state OT licensure, and BLS certification; outpatient neuro and spinal cord injury experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Applicable state license for Occupational Therapy required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Preferred experience: Outpatient Neuro, Spinal Cord Injury, vision impairments or willingness to pursue related continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient's medical, mental and emotional needs at admission and on an ongoing basis.
• Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient and family needs, including discharge planning.
• Acts as patient advocate; treats patients and families with compassion and implements plan of care safely.
• Communicates patient information and documents therapist's actions and plan of care; provides clinical leadership and mentoring.
