Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week outpatient assignment in Alpena, Michigan. The role focuses on assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients under physician orders, with 8-hour days and a schedule between 7:30 am and 6 pm.

You will supervise OTAs and aides, coordinate treatment plans with physicians, educate patients and families, and ensure compliance with standards. Active OT license and BLS certification required; outpatient and some acute care

Qualifications

• Outpatient experience is required for this 13-week assignment.
• Some acute care experience is preferred.
• A current skills checklist must be current to within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient function and develop goal-specific treatment plans.
• Perform both formal and informal testing to evaluate progress.
• Coordinate with physicians to authorize treatment plans.
• Supervise OT Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions and treatment options.
