Job summary

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for an outpatient travel assignment in Alpena, MI. This 13-week position offers 40-hour weeks, hours between 7:30 am and 6 pm, and a pay rate of $33.40 per hour plus a non-taxed weekly stipend of $1,246.

Start date is 10/19/2026. Travel policy requires candidates live beyond a 50-mile radius. Responsibilities include evaluation, goal-directed treatment plans, and supervision of assistants, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Must have OT experience.
• Primarily outpatient, some acute care highly preferred.
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs.
• Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the patient’s function by performing formal/informal testing measures to determine the skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular status, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.
• Develops a goal specific treatment regime based on assessment data and the patient’s tolerance to carry-out the treatment plan as prescribed.
• Submits a written treatment regime to be included as part of the plan of treatment authorized by and coordinated with the physician. Updates to plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patient status. Co-signs verbal orders received by occupational therapist assistant as necessary.
• Devises a schedule of treatment, which is frequency and duration specific to be discussed with patient/family/caregiver and coordinated with clinical support staff.
• Educates patient, family, and/or caregiver regarding pathology or condition, patient alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment through forms of rest, exercise, modalities, and other indicated interventions. Provides supervision for Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students per affiliate and regulatory standards.

This position delegates responsibility to the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Aides. Activities of this position are patient focused and utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with occupational therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures.
