Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and re-evaluate patients, design and implement individualized treatment plans, and participate in discharge planning. You will document care accurately, teach patients and caregivers, and support ongoing quality and safety initiatives.

The role requires an OT license (or temporary OT) and BLS/CPR certification, with strong communication in English and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred)
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or temporary OT
• BLS/CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate patients using approved techniques and standards.
• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans with goals and frequency.
• Document accurately and timely with objective terminology in EMR.
• Educate patients and caregivers, including discharge recommendations.
• Supervise and guide certified occupational therapy assistants and aides; ensure safety and quality.
