Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days (AHA)
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) - IDFPR
• Bachelor’s Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required)

Responsibilities

• Performs patient transfers with assistance from bed, chair, or floor
• Ensures safe body mechanics and develops goals and discharge plans
• Educates patients, families and staff using effective teaching methods
• Evaluates clinical findings and determines physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes
• Documents evaluations and plans of care per policy
• Supervises COTA and rehabilitation technicians as applicable
• Communicates progress and discharge recommendations with the medical team
