Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Bachelor’s Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to assist patient transfers with bed/chair/floor as needed.
• Ensures safe body mechanics and develops an appropriate plan of care.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Performs examinations and selects appropriate assessment methods relevant to chief complaint.
• Screens patients to determine need for therapy services per regulatory standards.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care according to policy.
• Communicates progress and discharge/disposition plans with the medical team.
