Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our outpatient clinics and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes general, episodic, and preventive care with an emphasis on patient-centered services and adherence to clinical pathways.

The APP will demonstrate advanced medical knowledge, clinical judgment, and strong communication while contributing to continuous improvement of patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with 1+ year of NP/PA experience.
• Strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education.
• Ability to document clearly and follow clinical pathways.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents health history and conducts examinations with plan of care.
• Provides primary, acute and complex care within scope of practice.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic data and initiates referrals and consultations.
• Prescribes therapies and utilizes approved practice protocols.
• Ensures timely, compliant documentation and patient transitions.
