Job summary

Central Health in Austin, TX is seeking a skilled cardiologist to join our expanding clinical team, delivering compassionate, high-quality care to underserved communities across Travis County. This full-time outpatient role includes in-person visits, video consultations, e-consults, and diagnostic reading time to support comprehensive cardiac care.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Residency in Internal Medicine.
Fellowship in Cardiology.
Unrestricted Texas medical license.
Board certification: ABIM Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
DEA license required.

Responsibilities

Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, and treatment for a specified patient population.
Performs non-invasive diagnostic procedures such as echocardiograms and treadmill stress testing as indicated.
Educates patients and their families on procedures, home care instructions, and follow-up care requirements.
Utilizes electronic health records (EHR) to document patient interactions, treatment plans, and clinical notes, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required; supervises APPs and learners as appropriate.
Participates in program development and clinical workflow improvements to enhance access and outcomes.
