Qualifications

• Current Maryland NP licensure is required.
• Certification as NP by a national certifying body (e.g., AANP/ANCC) is required.
• 1–2 years NP experience preferred; neurosurgery/neurology or surgical specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative outpatient care across cranial and vascular neurosurgical subspecialties.
• Perform history, physical exams, orders, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate with MDs to design treatment plans and prescriptions.
• Coordinate perioperative optimization and patient/family education.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program coordination.
• Serve as liaison among staff, leadership, and external partners.
• Present patients in chart rounds and guide the healthcare team.
