Job summary

Meritus Health in Maryland seeks a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner to join our hospital-employed team. You will collaborate with neurosurgeons, assess patients, and develop treatment plans, while providing pre- and post-operative care in a high-volume setting.

You will educate patients and families, participate in team meetings, and contribute to ongoing improvement of neurosurgical services in a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate excellent clinical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Hold a current Nurse Practitioner certification with neurosurgery focus.
• Meet credentialing requirements for Maryland licensure and medical staff membership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with neurosurgeons to provide comprehensive neurosurgical care.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop and implement treatment plans.
• Perform follow-up care and assist in surgeries and procedures.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical patients.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatment options.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for coordinated care.
