Qualifikationen

• Doctoral degree from an accredited school of physical therapy.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR or BLS certification required.

Aufgaben

• Conducts advanced evaluations of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems.
• Delivers therapeutic interventions based on current research and best practices.
• Designs and adapts rehabilitation programs based on progress and evidence.
• Establishes patient-centered and functional therapy goals with outcome measures.
• Discusses evaluation results, goals and plans with patients and families.
• Leads discharge planning and develops in-home programs when appropriate.
• Documents evaluations and progress for physicians, insurers and regulators.
• Prescribes devices to assist patients in daily activities (wheelchairs, mobility aids, prosthetics).
• Collaborates with physicians and providers for DME delivery and fitting.
• Supervises PT students and supports future professionals.
• Supports rehabilitation research by integrating emerging evidence.
