Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in East Meadow is seeking a Part-Time MRI Technologist for outpatient imaging. Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will operate MRI equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images and complete required forms before a patient leaves the zone area.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in Radiology or AMA-approved Imaging program.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License or Temp Permit.
• ARRT certification.
• Strong written and oral communication, problem solving, and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images as ordered by radiologist.
• Accurately enter exam codes in Radiology Information System and ensure timely completion of exams.
• Assist in care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies; report issues promptly.
• Instruct and supervise radiography students during clinical practicum and image evaluation.
• Adhere to safety standards and SOPs; ensure quality image review and patient safety.
