Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Part-Time MRI Technologist for Outpatient Radiology in East Meadow. You will operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images, while following safety standards and radiology protocols, under the direction of a Radiologist.

The role involves supporting the Radiology Information System, patient positioning, and supervising radiography students during clinical practicum.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in Radiology or Imaging Services required.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License or Temp Permit required.
• ARRT certification preferred. Strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images under radiologist supervision.
• Utilize PACS to make images available to radiologists with minimal exceptions.
• Enter exam codes in Radiology Information System and ensure timely completion of exams.
• Instruct and supervise radiography students during clinical practicum and perform exams.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and supplies and report issues promptly.
• Ensure proper patient positioning, safety instructions, and adherence to SOPs.
