NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Manhasset seeks an MRI Technologist for Outpatient Radiology. You will perform MRI procedures for designated areas under radiologist supervision, ensuring safety and high-quality diagnostic images while delivering compassionate patient care.

You will prep patients, manage contrast, obtain consent, explain procedures, and collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists.

Qualificações

• Associates degree or Technical Diploma in Radiology/Imaging Services.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist IV License within 180 days of permit issuance.
• ARRT (X-Ray) certification within 180 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsabilidades

• Patient Preparation & Safety: Reviews orders and safety forms to ensure exam appropriateness and patient safety.
• MRI Imaging & Clinical Performance: Independently performs MRI exams per protocol and radiologist directives.
• Equipment Operation & QC: Maintains MRI equipment and conducts quality checks.
• Information Systems & Documentation: Uses HIS/RIS in HIPAA-compliant manner and documents exam start/stop times.
• Collaboration & Workflow: Works with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and technologists to optimize outcomes.
• Compliance & Professional Standards: Adheres to regulations and hospital policies; flexible schedules.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift/move patients and equipment as needed.

Formação académica

Associates degree or Technical Diploma from AMA approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services

NYS Radiologic Technologist IV License

ARRT (X-Ray) Certification

BLS Certification
