Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI procedures in an outpatient setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort while following imaging protocols. The role requires strong communication and technical expertise to support radiologists and other staff.

Qualified candidates will have an associate or bachelor’s in radiologic technology, ARRT MR certification or eligibility, and 1–2 years of MRI experience.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI program.
• Current ARRT (MR) certification or eligible; ARRT (R) preferred.
• Active state licensure (if applicable).
• Minimum 1–2 years MRI experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical training will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
• Verify patient identity, review requisitions, and confirm imaging protocols.
• Position patients and ensure safety and comfort during MRI exams.
• Administer contrast agents per physician orders and institutional protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during scans; report issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed procedure records in the PACS/RIS system.
