Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Explain therapist’s role and client rights and responsibilities, including confidentiality and mandated reporting;
• Complete a diagnostic assessment on all clients referred, gathering information from a referral source, client chart, and other pertinent sources, including family members and past providers of care. Assessment will be done as needed; however, the therapist is required to complete updated assessments on clients who are on the current caseload;
• Determine DSM-5 diagnosis;
• Complete a treatment plan every six months or as needed;
• Provide individual and family therapy;
• Document all contacts, referrals, and other necessary information;
• Maintain a caseload of 25 clients a week;
• Apply crisis management skills when necessary to stabilize clients;
• Participate in monthly case reviews of clients in peer-group supervision;
• Identify and participate in other training or committees that can further enhance professional growth;

Education and/or Experience

This position requires a master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling. Licensed Graduate Level and Fully Licensed candidates will be considered.

Work Environment

Primarily in a typical office and/or home setting with a quiet to moderate noise level.

The therapist will report directly to the Clinical Manager, a LICSW/LPC.
