Job summary

Family Service League Inc. is seeking a part-time Social Worker for its Mental Health Clinic in East Hampton. Responsible for evaluations, treatment planning, and crisis interventions for a diverse range of clients, the ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health and be LMSW or LCSW certified.

Monday Thursday, 9 : 00AM 5 : 00PM

SUMMARY

Family Service League is seeking a part-time salaried Social Worker for our Mental Health Clinic in East Hampton. The Social Worker will provide evaluations, treatment planning, psychotherapy and crisis intervention to children, families and adults with a full range of DSM diagnoses in a clinic setting, including co-occuring disorders. Services are delivered in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Social Worker will provide evaluation / assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy and crisis intervention to those with behavioral health needs.
  • Provide individual and family therapy to children ages 5 and up, adolescents and adults with a full range of DSM diagnoses.
  • Provide services that are delivered in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
  • Provide crisis intervention during scheduled work hours as is needed.
  • Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with OMH standards in the electronic medical record.
  • The Social Worker will collaborate with other family and other collateral contacts including care coordination providers.
  • Participate in routing supervision and team meetings.
  • Attend agency mandated trainings.
  • The Social Worker will provide telehealth when needed.
  • Attend routine supervision and team meetings.
  • Identify and recommend additional referrals as needed.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

LMSW, LCSW, or Limited Permit required.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting required; clinic experience preferred.

Prior experience diagnosing using the DSM V and experience with behavioral / therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and adults preferred.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.

Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
