Job summary

Istss is seeking a Registered Nurse for Outpatient Mental Health to provide comprehensive nursing care across the patient continuum. The role emphasizes education, self-management support, and care coordination within a VA-like outpatient setting.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, working with an interdisciplinary team to deliver recovery-oriented services. Requires an active US nursing license and English proficiency.

Qualifications

Graduate of a nursing program approved by accrediting body (ACEN/CCNE)
Bridge program in nursing may qualify for licensure as a nurse
Foreign-educated nurses require credential validation
Current, active and unrestricted nursing license in US state or territory

Responsibilities

Provide and supervise direct patient care using the nursing process
Coordinate care focused on education, self-management, and satisfaction
Facilitate care coordination with inpatient/outpatient teams and MH treatment planning
Perform triage assessments, risk screens, and document care per policy
Support and mentor colleagues to ensure safe, high-quality nursing care
