Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum CAHIIM approved coding certificate or HIMT program or equivalent education & experience.
• RHIT/RHIA/CCS or COC/CPC-H or Radiation Oncology Certified Coder eligibility.
• Familiarity or experience with computer assisted coding and/or automated encoder.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and outpatient medical records for hospital reimbursement and data collection.
• Select appropriate diagnoses and procedures, ensuring accurate sequencing.
• Enter data into the clinical abstracting system and support data quality initiatives.
