Job summary

Qualifications

• CAHIIM approved coding certificate or HIMT program or equivalent education & experience.
• Demonstrated coding proficiency via OSUWMC coding test.
• Familiarity with computer assisted coding or automated encoder.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and outpatient medical records for hospital reimbursement and data collection.
• Select appropriate diagnoses and procedures, and sequence codes from medical records.
• Enter data into the clinical abstracting system to support reimbursement and planning.
