Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Certification through AMT/AAMA/NHA/MedCA as CMA/CCMA/NAHP/NCCT is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with six months CMA/RMA experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height) and record information in the medical record.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.

Education

Accredited medical assisting program

CMA/RMA certification or CMA/CCMA/NAHP/NCCT eligibility
