Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Medical Assistant for Rainbow Specialty Clinic in Solon, OH. You will provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting in the EMR.

Responsibilities include assisting with front desk duties, coordinating patient flow, and supporting providers to ensure efficient patient care. A Medical Assistant program completion and HS diploma are required; CMA/BLS are preferred and travel

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year clinical experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Strong communication with diverse patients is required.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage changing tasks.
• Proven basic patient care knowledge and a patient-centered approach.
• Proficiency with computers and EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Assist with front desk duties including scheduling, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other documentation.
• Performs basic patient-centered care as delegated by provider.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to policies.
