Qualifications

Completion of a Medical Assistant Program is required.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage changing tasks.
Proven basic patient care knowledge and a patient-centered approach.
Proficiency with computers and EMR systems preferred.

A Brief Overview

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. This role includes but not limited to rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, supporting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care.

What You Will Do

Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
Assist with front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
Performs basic patient centered care as delegated by provider.
Provides a safe environment for patients.
