Job summary

Mercy is seeking Medical Assistants to support providers with direct and indirect patient care in a respectful, efficient manner. You will assist with clinical procedures, maintain documentation, and provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, will attend MA Clinic Academy, and must actively maintain MA certification. BLS is required for hospital outpatient departments; outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• Must actively maintain MA certification.
• BLS for Hospital Outpatient Departments.
• One year of applicable patient care experience in outpatient/ambulatory care.
• BLS for non-HOD clinics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports providers by delivering direct and indirect patient care in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Assists with clinical procedures and maintains accurate documentation.
• Provides administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Functions within defined scope of practice under supervision and Mercy standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of varying patient populations and communication needs.
