Job summary

American Family Care Dalton is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide general medical care in an outpatient clinic setting. Responsibilities include obtaining patient vitals, administering medications, and performing lab tests among others.

The ideal candidate should have an Associates degree or equivalent, with preference for AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants. Flexible scheduling and a supportive work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
• Preferred AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and prepare patients for exams.
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for processing.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain equipment.
• Ensure patient immunizations are documented.
• Conduct physician referrals and prepare exam rooms.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
