Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking an LPN for outpatient Plastic Surgery in Roanoke. The role supports the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery section with a focus on non-cosmetic patients. Position emphasizes nursing care, patient education, and collaboration with providers in a physician practice setting.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, lab prep, and usage of EMR. Virginia LPN licensure and BLS certification required; radiology tech license if radiology duties

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited practical nursing program or eligible to sit Virginia licensure exam.
• 1 year of experience in a physician office preferred.
• Current Virginia LPN license; Radiologic Technician Limited if radiology performed; BLS-HCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients of all ages in a clinic setting.
• Perform patient assessments including vital signs and med lists.
• Assist provider during exams and procedures and prepare patients accordingly.
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam and lab areas and manage supplies.
