Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited practical nursing program or eligible to sit Virginia licensure exam.
• One year of physician office experience preferred.
• Current Virginia LPN licensure required.
• Radiologic Technician Limited licensure required if performing radiology.
• Current AHA BLS‑HCP certification required.
• Customer driven with professional demeanor and good communication skills.
• Ability to use EMR and automated computer systems; keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical nursing support in a physician practice or clinic setting as directed by the physician.
• Prepare patients for provider evaluation and assist during exams and procedures.
• Coordinate tele‑retinal and tele‑dermatology clinic setup.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
• Maintain exam, treatment and lab areas; restock supplies and sterilize equipment as needed.
• Document patient information in the electronic medical record in a timely manner.
