Job summary

CCMC Camden Clark Medical Center in Vienna, WV is seeking an LPN to provide direct nursing care in an outpatient clinic. The role includes screening patients, administering medications, and supporting physicians and RNs in exams and procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold a current LPN license (state or eNLC) and obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. Experience with phlebotomy and a patient-centered approach is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license issued by the state of service or a multi-state LPN license via eNLC.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient medical office setting.
• Uses standards of care and practice to guide care delivery.
• Administers intramuscular, subcutaneous, and oral medications as ordered.
• Consults with the Provider or RN to seek guidance in nursing care delivery.
• Obtains instruction from the Provider or RN when implementing nursing techniques.
• Performs designated therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Observes, records and reports patient concerns, symptoms, and progress to the Provider.
• Assists Providers and RN with examinations and procedures.
• Utilizes supplies cost-effectively to help contain patient costs.
• Provide emotional support to patients and/or families.
• Participate in problem solving and staffing decisions in the outpatient unit.
• Obtain medical information, take vitals, screen chief complaint, and record data in the medical record.
• Works with office staff to facilitate patient visits, escort patients, and assist with scheduling.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
