Job summary

Penn Medicine in the United States seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Ortho Shared Services team at University City. The role supports physicians across hospitals and clinics, performs nursing tasks, and helps ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current license in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification required for healthcare providers.
• Outpatient nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, injections and vaccines per physician orders.
• Perform EKGs and routine screening tests.
• Obtain and test specimens, document results and escalate abnormal findings.
• Gather patient information and coordinate with RN or provider.
• Assist with surgical procedures, patient positioning, sterile field, and wound care.
• Prepare visit paperwork and document vital signs as needed.
• Maintain medication storage areas and sterilize instruments.
• Planned home visits and outreach coordination.
• Support PMHARC recruitment and research activities as needed.
