Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care in a physician practice setting. You will work under the supervision of an RN to deliver patient-centered care across pediatric to geriatric populations.

Responsibilities include triage support, patient education, medication administration, and assisting with procedures. This on-site role requires BLS and an active LPN license; travel may be required as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of an LPN program or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year nursing experience in a primary or specialty care physician’s office preferred.
• Prior triage, emergency room, cardiac care, intensive care or other related specialty nursing experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing services to patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse and within licensure.
• Administers injections and medications as prescribed.
• Assists with procedures and minor surgeries as designated by the provider.
• Performs Point of Care Testing (POCT) such as hearing, flu, urine and strep tests.
• Gathers patient information and prepares for visits.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per policies.
