Job summary

Inova Internal Medicine in Fairfax, VA is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This full-time evening position runs Monday–Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, providing direct patient care under RN supervision in a busy outpatient setting.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders while documenting all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards.
• Participates on unit teams, work groups and/or committees.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Vocational / TechnicalDiploma in Practical Nursing
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Experience: 0 years of experience
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an LPN or Medical Assistant
