Inova Health's vascular surgery team seeks an Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time day shift in Fairfax, VA, Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm.

You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, maintain records, participate in team activities, and contribute to quality initiatives within a leading nonprofit healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders while documenting all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards.
• Participates on unit teams, work groups and/or committees.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Vocational / TechnicalDiploma in Practical Nursing
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Experience: 0 years of experience
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an LPN or Medical Assistant
