Job summary

CareerNerds seeks a Medical Director with Infectious Disease expertise for our Naples, FL outpatient clinic. The physician will lead clinical operations, manage patient flow, and ensure high-quality care across routine and infectious disease cases.

Outpatient role with no nights or weekends required. Must be board-certified MD/DO with active license, DEA, and furnishing license, capable of handling 14–18 patients daily in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• Must be an Infectious Disease Physician with outpatient experience.
• MD or DO with active license and board certification.
• Must hold a valid DEA and Furnishing license.
• Able to see 14–18 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Oversee patient scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet targets.
• Document visits the same day or within 72 hours with accurate coding.
• Supervise mid-level providers and support staff as required.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
