Job summary

AbsoluteCare seeks an experienced physician to provide outpatient care to people living with HIV and other chronic infectious diseases in a collaborative, team-based environment.

The role emphasizes diagnostic and treatment planning, patient education, and coordination with social work, care management, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive, whole-person care in a primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
• Certified by AAHIVM or board certification in Infectious Diseases.
• Current BLS certification.
• DEA license and registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care for people living with HIV and chronic infectious diseases.
• Develop diagnostic and treatment plans and coordinate care with the care team.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to manage patient panels.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment options.
• Lead and participate in a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions of care.
• Use evidence-based medicine within the PCMH care model.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans to avoid ER visits and hospitalizations.
