Job summary

The Kansas City VA Medical Center is looking for a Health Technician assigned to a Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) under the Primary Care Service Line, serving Veterans in rural areas.

Major duties include specimen collection and processing, maintaining safety and infection control, and providing patient service while supporting clinic flow. Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:45am-3:15pm CST. This is not a virtual position.

Qualifications

• Transcript required with your application.
• Certificate of Foreign Equivalency if using foreign education.
• Federal employment qualifications and education recognized by U.S. Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Specimen collection and processing.
• Maintain safety, bloodborne pathogen compliance and infection control.
• Maintain laboratory environment, equipment, and supplies.
• Communicate with patients and provide customer service.
