Job summary

Tufts Medical Center, Inc. seeks an Outpatient Occupational Therapist specialized in Hand Therapy for a per diem position in our outpatient clinic.

You will evaluate and treat orthopedic upper-extremity conditions and occasionally neuromuscular or pediatric cases, working closely with Hand Surgeons to optimize patient outcomes. The role emphasizes one-on-one patient care, advanced splinting skills for walk-in patients, and education of patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and OT license are required.
• NBCOT registration and BLS certification are required.
• One year of clinical experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for orthopedic upper extremity; occasional neuromuscular and pediatric cases.
• Collaborate with Hand Surgeons to optimize outcomes and discharge planning.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Educate patients and families and document care accurately for reimbursement.
• Supervise students and educate staff on occupational therapy roles.
