Job summary

Inova Gastroenterology in Virginia seeks an Outpatient Registered Nurse to join our team. This full-time day shift (Mon-Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm) provides comprehensive clinic-based care, patient education, vaccinations, and preventive services.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, is licensed as an RN in Virginia, and has BLS certification. Prior gastroenterology experience is preferred. We offer strong benefits, retirement match, tuition and loan assistance, and mental health support.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing (or an ADN with BSN within 5 years).
• RN license, or eligibility to practice in Virginia.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential outpatient clinic duties: intakes, medication reconciliation, patient education, vaccinations/injections/phlebotomy.
• Provides safe, holistic care in a physician practice or outpatient setting and educates patients and families to meet outcomes.
• Delivers efficient care, guides team, and makes independent clinical decisions based on education and experience.
