Job summary

USA Health in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide outpatient GI care. You will assess patients, manage GERD, IBS, IBD, and oversee surveillance colonoscopy referrals in collaboration with supervising physicians.

Requires NP or PA licensure in Alabama with relevant training; will work with a team across primary and specialty care to improve patient access and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and completion of an approved nurse practitioner training program required
• NPC - Certified Nurse Practitioner required and licensure as NP in Alabama or PA licensure within 60 days
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations in the outpatient GI setting.
• Evaluate and manage GI conditions including GERD, dyspepsia, IBS, IBD, constipation, and diarrhea.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, pathology, imaging, and endoscopic findings.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
• Facilitate scheduling of colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and other GI procedures.
