Job summary

The Registered EEG Technologist III of MUSC's Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department records neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of nervous system disorders using advanced EEG equipment. Under general supervision, this role supports complex testing in a busy clinical setting.

The ideal candidate has an END program credential, ABRET EEG registration, a year of EEG experience, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program or equivalent.
• ABRET EEG Technician registration required and must be maintained.
• One year EEG Technician work experience required.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) or Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Record neurophysiologic potentials for diagnosis/prognosis of nervous system disorders using electronic equipment.
• Work under indirect supervision; EEG Coordinator/Unit Leader/Specialist or a physician available for assistance during procedures.
