Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate care for an assigned patient group, perform hemodialysis duties, and educate patients and families.

As part of the ESKD care team, you’ll participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement, with supervision and ongoing professional development through CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state RN licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification current or completed.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Document data collection and treatment plans in patient records; adjust plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care and disease management.
• Deliver safe hemodialysis therapy with the care team and supervise related tasks.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Participate in emergency response measures and staff training.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing and documentation.
