Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Coding Supervisor to oversee the outpatient coding staff and daily operations. The role ensures accurate ICD-10-CM/CPT-4/HCPCS coding, monitors performance, and supports timely billing for clinic encounters, ambulatory surgery, and ED.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, reviewing records in EPIC, managing training with the Coding Quality Educator, and developing coding policies in consultation with the Corporate Coding Manager.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM/CPT-4 and HCPCS coding principles.
• Experience with Epic EHR and 3M CAC applications.
• Ability to develop coding policy and procedural manuals.
• Supervise outpatient coding staff and oversee training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily outpatient coding staff and workflows.
• Review records in EPIC/EHR for accurate coding and timely billing.
• Coordinate work assignments using Epic EHR queues.
• Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Develop coding policies and reference manuals for clinics.
